Hello everyone!

So its almost time and i'm really scared I have to admit. I know everything will probably work out fine but its all so... different and new and I feel so unprepared. But one is never prepared for motherhood anyway so i'll do what I have to do which is wait. Tomorrow i'll make my best to finish buying all that needs to be bought and get everything ready for the big day. <3 I've also been doing some minor house renovations and i'm almost done for now. ^_^;
The spanish lolita community (Lolita in Wonderland) asked me if i would mind answering some questions about motherhood and lolita and I was delighted to help out. I'll leave the link in case you'd like to read it.

For some reason I really felt like proving to myself that i could still fit into my lolita clothes (seriously my belly is HUGE) and so i went with dressing up at home just for fun. I ended up pairing my sweetest lolita dress with very elegant and dark elements but i like the result. I hope you do too.
Webcam shot (so much better quality than the digital one)

Outfit shot. Info: Ap dress and cuffs, j+j bolero, mmm socks, vm skirt, offbrand head acessories, shoes & gloves and triple fortune brooch.
I tried this on just because i was bored and i needed to relax a bit (and i cannot leave the house due to doctors orders) but the girls in my local comm seemed to really like it. I was surprised.

The comm also has this theme post cycle going on and this week's theme is shoes. We are supposed to do the following:
- show all our lolita shoes in a photo
- explain /show how we organize and store them
- talk about what type of shoes we like best
- tell people were we usually by shoes from
- talk about what shows we wish we could buy

It was a bit troublesome to take out all the shoes from the storage, especially now that I have finally found a way to keep them organized so i figured i'd post the result here too.
I got these storage boxes at IKEA of course. I love that every shoe has their own box and that they  are the same, it gives it such a clean look! I recommend these. It's around 8 euros for 4 boxes.
Of course since boots don't fit into the boxes i also got this Billy unit from Ikea as well and a door to "hide" the shoes. It's a very good solution.

All the shoes i usually wear with lolita. Brand and offbrand. If you'd like to know about any, just ask!

I got some books this week. Well the first was a Jane Austen 3 book pack for very cheap. I have read one of them before but the pack looks lovely and for that price i just got it. I also got the complete Haruki Murakami 1Q84 novel. I got the complete one in english for 17 euros when each of the books in portuguese costs 18 euros!

This sunday there's a small lolita gathering at my place. Of course since you never know what will happen i did make arrangements for if it ends up not being possible. I hope it goes well, i really want to hang out with the girls before my life changes so dramatically. I hope this doesn't sound too silly.

Anyway that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if there's anything you'd like me to talk about sometime, let me know. <3

LOVE always,
Jo

Collectors

What do you guys think about lolita collectors?
A lolita collector is someone that, for some reason, collects dresses of a certain brand and/or items that are "known", rare or simply popular.

I never thought of myself as one but I do seem to have an abnormal amount of items from just one brand. I also have a very hard time letting go of some pieces that I don't wear much or find unflattering on me just because I know how hard it'll be to buy them again.

Lately I've had some very good offers for some of my moitié dresses and although i feel like I should act like a mature woman and just take the chance to sell them for the price they are worth (and not lower offers that usually are the rates at our local sales community (you know what I mean)) just the idea of those pieces being no longer "available if i feel like wearing them", is somewhat painful.

So does this make me a collector?
