International lolita day, winter.

9th of January

This day our community, the Portuguese Lolita community had organized a small gathering in my town to celebrate the winter loliday with a huge delay. Better late than never, right?
Anyway the weather was a disgrace, it was raining a lot and barely anyone was in the streets.
It was scheduled at a lovely chocolate/cake store in which we had too many yummy sweets. It was great.

I had a lot of fun just looking at lolita magazines, eating and chatting with everyone and I love how everyone looked so different too.

My friend Su came all the way from Lisbon to attend and stayed at my place which was a plus. <3

Su, I adore you Su.
After getting dressed I went over to the meeting spot where soon all the participants arrived. Sadly it then started raining (a lot!) and we had to go all the way to the shop under heavy rain (my feet were super wet) but once we got there we got pretty confortable.
The counter full of tasty chocolates <3
We chatted and looked through lolita magazines and just spent a lovely afternoon. I really do wish we had these more ofen but the truth is, we just don't..
Group photo. Everyone looked super different, which is really cool.
I am going to leave you with some photos of the goodies. The food was super yummy and just perfect for a dark and wet afternoon like that one. <3
I had my favorite drink (cappuccino) and a slice of chocolate / passion fruit cake, it was amazing!

Also Su brought me an adorable present, this cute cupcake shaped box which is now being used as decoration downstairs <3 My daughter also got treats, a princess crown and scepter which she loved.
You spoil me too much Su!

That was pretty much our day.
The next day Su had to go back home but we booked lunch at our favorite restaurant, Ichiban.

Su loved it which is what's important. The view there is usually amazing because its right next to the sea but the weather was even worse on that sunday so just getting out of the car and into the restaurant was a freaking nightmare.

Anyway I hope you liked hearing about my special weekend. I really want to have another one in my town just like that but nothing is scheduled for the rest of the year hehe.

I love you, thank you for following even if i'm too busy to post often. <3 I really really do appreciate it. <3

Ichiban

Good afternoon.

I'm posting a new entry while watching the news today. As today there is another very anticipated Doll fandom related meetup in my town I figured it would make sense to post about this day.

The first thing i did was actually polish silverwear. It is the most boring thing to do ever, worse than ironing and doing the dishes. What's your least favorite house chore?

You can see how they looked before (I never used these before) and how pretty they look after being polished.

One of these wednesdays (both me and my husband had the wednesday off last semester) we decided to go try out the newest japanese restaurant in our area: Ichiban . A couple of Japanese friends of his told him that this was the best place to eat actual japanese food and that it was the closest to actual japanese food they had tried and it is in fact fabulous. It is just like the food we ate in Japan and I absolutely recommend it.

The decorative wall displaying different japanese goods. We sat on the second floor.

Entrance dishes: "ovas de peixe" (don't know the word for them in english) and a meat roll with salad.

Sashimi dish

more sashimi and sushi

The table.

Miso soup

Handmade icecream, delicious!

and because i'm currently off cafeine, "carioca de limão".
If you visit the restaurant during weekdays (excluding monday) and for lunch they offer their customers special menus. The daily dishes /offers are decided by the chef depending on what he sees fresh in the marketplaces. The daily dish menu is 13,50 euro and the sushi/sashimi is 15,50 euros.
I find it amazingly affordable and again, i recommend it.

After that we went for a stroll to breath some fresh air and i took that change to take some shots of one of my girls.
One of her new dresses, it was given to them by a talented girl in the national doll community.

Her new sunglasses. She looks so adorable <3

Heading back home. What a nice day it was.
After that I also managed to go to some local stores and get the girls some new furniture. I'm going to paint it white but for the time being its still wood color.

Easel, two frames and a living room armoire. They seem to like them.
And that was it.
I will have a nice report for today's gathering I hope. I'm about to get dressed and leave. I am looking forward to it. <3

Thanks for reading and commenting as usual,
