Well i can't hide it, i'm 30, thiiiirty! I am lucky enough to not look too old yet but that means something. I wonder how much longer will I manage to look ok in lolita. I know some people say there's no age limit but I have one: it is when I think I no longer look ok in the style. I hope that'll only happen when I'm 50 but we do not know the future.
I'm sure I'll always have some connection with lolita though, it really is the thing I love the most (other than the obvious much more important things such as friends and familly...).
I remember my familly telling me this was just another phase and that I'd go to the next cool thing but I can now say I really have shown them it was not the case.
I love lolita, I love it dearly... I protect it as much as I can and I try to advertise it in order for our community to grow or at least to be here.
Anyway that's now what I wanted to say, getting back on track here.... *clears throat* I am posting the first outfit after turning 30 today. I hope you guys like it. <3
I am wearing:

- Handmade flower comb (gift from my friend Mafalda)
- Handmade flower neckace (another gift from Mafalda)
- Baby, the stars shine bright shirt
- Alice and the Pirates jsk
- Primark tights
- T.U.K. shoes
- Maruione bought blue ring, key bracelet by meow, primark bracelet, vintage stone ring.
I'm 3 weeks away from finally being on vacations. I am going to visit my inlaws again this year. I am not thrilled about going in the summer though. We're finally having a cool summer in Portugal (everyone else seems upset but I was thrilled to hear that - hate the heat) and what do we do? We go to a country where summers are hot and humid. -_-;
Oh and of course you'd like to hear about shopping right? Well I honestly have not done much of that recently. I did buy a dress early this month and I have two dresses sitting in my inlaws place for months now so lets talk about those. Here they are:

So even though I am not going on a shopping spree this time around (wish i could) I feel like I already have went on one. I love all these dresses so much, some aren't my prefered style or colorway but they all rock anyway. I hope they all suit me and fit me well.

ResponderEliminarThank you so much Hyrule! I love blue and shades of blue and green the most. My other favorite colors in lolita are black, ivory and bordeaux. But I am not picky at all so i'll wear many different things if given the chance to.

ResponderEliminarFor some reason, it makes me happy to know that you're still in the community, even though I've been out for years.
I think you'll find a way to mature the style as you do as well. At some point it might just be lolita inspired, or hinting on the style, but I truly believe you'll be able to stick to it, or some form of it, as you get older.

Gostava muito que as meninas que me acompanharam nesta aventura voltassem, acho que enquanto nos ficar bem devemos vestir todas, eu também já não visto de forma diária mas uso como um escape da suposta vida adulta que é uma grande seca sinceramente. *suspiro*
Bom não sei se isso vai acontecer, na verdade o meu estilo fora de lolita não tem quase nada a ver com lolita, talvez com algumas coisas de "gothic" porque uso cruzes etc... Acho que só em lolita é que uso uma data de coisas: saias (fora disso so em ocasiões especiais ou longas no verão), laços, padrões infantis, chapéus... enfim quase tudo.
Espero que esteja tudo bem por esses lados e o convite e desejo de um regresso mantêm-se.

you really match and look great in lolita! to be honest I don´t think there´s a physical difference from the first picture I saw of you and now... is there? I hope it keeps that way, because most of my lolita inspirations have more than 25 years and I´d love to keep seeing them using this amazing style!

Hah i'm glad that came out right, i have this nasty habit of not thinking a lot about what i say/write and that's why i never do any spelling checks etc. haha Sometimes i do say/write things I regret later on but the ones who know me already know which are which and not to take them seriously otherwise it'd be terrible. haha I am more moderate now that I'm older though, it really does come with age and experience i suppose.
EliminarMost of my inspirations are also over 25. I am so glad people seem to be wearing it later now, when i started i don't remember there being a lot of 30 year olds posting at all.
Well that coordinate is a bit obvious, aatp + aatp, not hard to match tones and styles when you do that. hehe but i always loved sheer shirts with lolita and i remember people giving me a hard time in my local comm because of that. So I'm glad it has turned into the current style so I can keep on doing it but only get positive input on them unlike what happened then hehe.

EliminarI agree with you but i don't really like toned down lolita at the moment, i prefer to wear things that have 0 lolita in them to wear stuff that's girly out of lolita which is why I feel that if i am too old some day it'll be bye bye for good unfortunately. But tastes change!
