Week 22 "Designing your dream closet"

I joined a facebook Lolita Fashion blog group recently. The whole idea is to decide on themed posts everyone can take part in. I found it to be a good idea to keep this blog running since I never know what to post. If you have a lolita blog, check it out. You might like it and want to join too. <3

This week's theme is "Designing your dream closet".

It's been a while since I've participated in a blog theme!
The theme this time is Designing your dream closet. It is a bit painful for me to do this but i'll do my best. So why is it painful? Well to be honest (surprise!) my favorite lolita style was never gothic lolita and my favorite brand was never Moi-même-Moitié. The first photo to make me fall head over heels for lolita was a Mary Magdalene advertisement with a girl wearing the Rote Rose op in bordeaux with matching bordeaux corsage. It was so simple yet elegant and I remember wanting to look like that.
Unfortunately it was very soon that I discovered that the brands didn't make things in my size and back then i could only buy full shirring dresses. Of course the typical classic brands don't really do big sizes much and I honestly also didn't want the full shirred look so along the years whenever someone asks me what's my dream this or that I leanrt how to block what I really like as if those pieces don't exist, period.
It used to be quite sad but i've gotten used to it.

Still since this is a post on designing my dream dress I'm going to start by declaring that this time I have the perfect body for lolita. I am 160cm tall (mas) and I've got a 85ish bust and 70ish hight waist. Encarnating that character, this is my dream closet.

Ok these are two of my ultimate dream pieces. I Love busy and heavy (dark toned) gobelin patterns and these in my eye are the two most perfect items with that combination. However owns one of these: never get rid of them, they are perfection... they are just a dream.

My favorite sort of coat. There are no lolita coats that will ever beat the elegance and the cut of those made by Mary Magdalene. I am so so sooo crushed that none of them will fit me right. I wish I was the size of that manequin and that things looked exactly like that on my body.

I have always loved vivienne westwood corset tops. I know they come in my size but they'll never look right on me. I'd love to own them and wear them with a high waist classic lolita skirt and a light chiffon shirt with a big bow around the neck.
Another piece I am a slave to (but that one I WILL OWN!) are triple fortune bonnets. They are for me the best hair accessory in the entire fashion and I am dying to own one. The problem is every time i go to Japan they only have light blue or light pink ones!

Other pieces I'd like to own if I had the perfect lolita body:

and some more.... (almost everything Mary Magdalene, Victorian Maiden and Juliette et Justine)

And that's it. I hope you guys found it interesting enough to read.
Love,
Jo
