Hello again. So it has happened, because i have not updated regularly I have now forgotten some things that happened here and there as I was afraid. *sigh*
Oh well it can't be helped I guess.
This was another relaxing day. We woke up and has instant food for a change. It's nice to have mom get a free day from making everyone breakfast for a change and it was still tasty.

| Instant Yakisoba |
Remember those "oranges" i got as a gift at that restaurant in Tennoji? Well I really wanted to use them so i did that day. I just placed it in the bathtub and filled it up. The smell was wonderful but all the seeds were there and that was a bit strange for me at first. It felt great though, very relaxing.
I love japanese bathrooms. I love the toilet seats... having a toilet seat that is always warm and having the bidet and the deodorant dispenser all in one place is just dreamy. I do have a hard time getting used to the "bottom jet" haha but that's not a big deal.
I also love the actual bath tubs. Yes they are tiny in length
but they are a lot deeper than ours and if i fill it completely i'm easily under water and its fabulous.
 |
| You can see just how deep the bathtub is from this photo. |
Also the shower and bath water temperature is adjustable with a digital panel which means you can chose your water temperature with precision. For instance i like mine at 38 degrees so i just set it like that and its a go.
Also because its a small space (since the bath and toilet areas are separated) when you close the bath door the room will instantly be warm, its great!
 |
| You have a lid over the tub so you can put some bath salts and then reheat the water at night to save water. You shower before getting in anyway so it should be rather clean. |
After that we went out for a stroll and some shopping.
There's a school right next to the apartment complex and there are always a ton of kids running around in the playground.Even when there's a time off there are still activities and clubs so japanese young people are always busy with something.
 |
| Kids playing baseball on that cooold day. |
It was really freezing that day, the wind blew strong and it was cold. But the sky was clear and it was sunny which is an odd combo for me still.
 |
| My husband "suited up" accordingly. |
I always find japanese signs adorable or silly... or both. This one is telling kids to look both ways when crossing the road.
We got to the closest small mall around. Its name is rainbow and i like it because things there are usually cheap and people are very "real" and not what people have as an image of japanese people. They're not all that stylish and they are not all that skinny nor all of them are that good looking, they are real people just like me so I feel at home there (even though i'm always the only foreigner around).
We did some shopping (i always go there to get stationary and the like but end up buying a ton more stuff) and then had a burger for lunch.
 |
| You can chose a flavor to add to your fried potatoes. |
 |
| I am one of those people who adore food. I really like food, food makes me happy unfortunately haha |
After that we made a quick stop at the nearest post office which is one of the places i can use my credit card to withdraw money from. Unfortunately there are only a few countries with a system like ours and not all cards work with all ATMs so it can be a drag.
 |
| This is what a regular post office looks like. |
Along the way I always enjoy the scenery and details around us so because this post has little to no scenery photos I'm adding something with random trees.
 |
| I love the trees here, some of them look like a bit tower of tiny mushrooms! |
After getting home I just snapped a photo of all the stuff i bought and we waited for dinner time while relaxing and eventually helping around the house.
 |
| Tape, stationary, paper cut material, fake lashes, lashes glue, fake lash case... |
 |
| My favorite: the fake lashes case. it can accommodate only 4 pairs but if you cut the boxes well enough you can add 4 more in the bottom layer like I did here. |
Mom also came over with some snacks she had gotten us. All bad bad baddd stuff that make me even fatter but taste divine.
 |
| Choco Flakes - basically corn flakes covered in milky chocolate (and i used to make fun of my brothers from eating cereal directly from the packet, not anymore) and "look a la mode" chocolate. Basically its like playing russian roulette, you can get any of those flavors in each bit. |
So at around 7pm we have dinner over here and this time when i got to the dinning table I saw a huge pan of
Nabe. I really like nabe, its tasty without being too harmful and you get a big dosage of vegetables in one dish. It is also hot so its perfect for this weather.
 |
| Tasty looking huge pot of Nabe. |
So basically it starts cooking while on the table and then obviously some things will be ready to eat first and some others might be added later on as well. There's vegetables, mushrooms and meat in there. You then can put them into a tiny plate with sauce or just eat them like that if you like it a bit more bland.
You can see there are some chopsticks in it, they are used as serving chopsticks so people won't stick theirs in there for good hygiene and manners.
 |
| My plates: one for the nabe and one for the rice. |
I find that beer goes well with most japanese food. The problem with drinking beer here is that its expensive as heck. Still I am always served some and I won't complain. I happen to love beer.
 |
| Suntory Premium Malt's beer |
 |
| Dessert: Matcha ice cream because I'm being spoiled. :D |
Also dad got me some new chopsticks. They kind of sometimes surprise me with this and that and i find that to be absolutely adorable. Because of their kindness I am highlighting these chopsticks wether you guys like it or not! They are fabulous chopsticks, the greatest chopsticks in the worldddddd!!!

| My new chopsticks |
After dinner and tv it was time to go to bed! And so we did. I actually like the calm days even though i end up thinking that they might be a bit of a waste since i'm... well since i'm here and stuff XD But they feel so good, kinda like a guilty pleasure.
Oh yes of course before I post this i need to update with the stuff I got on Day 8 like I promised. I finally got some lolita related things:
 |
| Miho Matsuda clock ring |
 |
| Miho Matsuda rosary necklace |
 |
| Miho Matsuda key over knee socks |
 |
| Moi-même-Moitié head bow |
 |
| Angelic Pretty berry-chan knit bolero (red) |
 |
| Moi-même-Moitié blue striped shirt |
 |
| Mii was given the free chocolate i got from the tombola for buying from Miho Matsuda but didn't want it. He likes katsuobushi. |
And that was it. All the things I got at Miho I knew would be cheaper on sale but i always like to buy their things when i visit, they are really nice to me every time I'm there. If you can, buy from Miho Matsuda.
Anyway that's it, hope you liked this post. Will update tomorrow again,
Jo
