Frock On! - Day 2 (sunday)

Hello again,

Today i'm here to write about what my experience was at the London based even Frock On! again. Day two was the day of two scheduled occcasions: the Tea Party and the after party.

We woke up a bit earlier that day because we had a good night sleep. I was still feeling sick but not as sick as I would have felt if i didn't make the wise decision to stay in.

There was a Garfunkel's in the same street as our hotel and when we so "refillable" coffee and "free wifi" we went in. Breakfast was expensive, only 1 pound less than the lunch menu but we decided since it'd be our lunch anyway it'd be ok to splurge a little. This is how we lolitas roll, 150 pound dresses are ok, a 6 pound breakfast is not. haha

 We then left after a bit and went for a stroll to buy a energy conversor because the one they lent us at the hotel wasn't doing it for Vania. That gave us a chance to take these lovely shots.

After this it was time to get ready for the tea party. We both took a bath again and got ready really fast. I have no idea why people take so long to get dressed in lolita, i once saw girls in some tv show or whatever that was say they take up to 3 hours! What the heck do these women do? o.o

Well but then again i do not wear fake lenses or lashes because i cannot put them on, I assume that if i wanted to anyway i'd spend those 2 and a half extra hours doing so.

I thought we could go by foot because it was only a 30min walk but Vania wasn't feeling it so she paid for the taxi ride and we went by taxi. 

When we arrived there were people there already which allowed us to take some shots.

Vânia spotted a girl wearing the same print as she was in the entrance. She looked so pretty, i really love that print, wish i could fit into one of the designs. The green is so vivid and so... well... green! I love green in lolita.

Vania looks incredible, i am so glad i convinced her that the hair accessory wasn't too much, its frock on!

And again I'm the amazon but anyway I wore green! 

We then went inside to ask for a lighter and realized that one of the employees was portuguese! We got friendly right from then and eventually took a photo with him too, not with our camera but his which is sad now that i think about it. 

After that we got in and found Michaela in the bathroom getting some touches of makeup on. She looked amazing, i really liked her outfit that day, red suits her.

When we got up people were waiting at the bar. We waved and sat with a goup or girls which whom we chatted a lot before going in. It was so nice to meet them all, they sat at our table afterwards which was fantastic. 

I was so amazed to see people i knew online for so many years even though i'm so terrible with names and remembering things in general I remember this girl's style from many years ago. I am really happy to see that other long term lolitas such as myself have survived till now. She looked flawless both days and has very similar taste to mine. The other lovely lady was wearing a dress Vania was coveting, the chocolate series dress from Angelic Pretty in brown. There's always a lot of "uhh i would love to own that" sentiments going on in these events hehe.

 Kyra looked like a lady in both days, always in Juliette et Justine. Pink suits her the best!

 A view of the entrance to the tea room and some of the participants chatting. I met my dearest friend from Chile. She owns Chérie Cerise and has always been fantastic in sewing. I could not believe when i saw her. I did not know she owned that brand because i'm less informed on these things than it might seem so i just recognized her! I saw her and my jaw dropped. It was my biggest dearest surprise in all the event. You can imagine right? Back from when i started she was there and she flew there from Chile! I also met the lovely gent, they are now some of my favorite people ever, they are really nice. If you were pondering buying from them but haven't, do so! They deserve it and i guarantee quality stuff. <3

And this shows the food, the first service was sour so sandwich and bread and small appetizers which you had to get yourself in a buffet table. Then they brought the cake displays and the cake. They would just walk around handling out tea or coffee. It was good except i was so busy "bla bla bla-ing" as usual i just ate enough to keep me fed. I wish i had eaten more cake. heh

This lovely lady was at our table (that now is empty because we all just like talking and wandering around too much) hehe and she looks like snow white, i loved her look, she's stunning! 

Me and the lovely Oh tralala. She's such a nice girl, i looooved her, she's super sweet and you can just tell 4 seconds being around her that she's just a good person, you know that kind of people, right? We were wearing the same bonnet from triple fortune that day, different colorways, they are both so special and the different colors make them look really different right? 

And some photos of me and vania and me and a lovely very young lolita we met at the event. She's studying in London and was adorable (and loved chatting too yay!). She was perfectly dress, i loved her look, i wish i could wear that stuff at the age of 17 (i think she is 17). 

 And another shot with other ladies from our table. I bet you can recognize them because they are so stunning photos of them keep popping up. <3

 More beautiful ladies. I fell in love with this headpiece too. I guess they both made it so i now feel like I can make one myself. It's huge, kitch and just perfect and she's wearing one of those keys i talked about last post, can you see? (and also that iw print i wanted but couldn't afford to get)

 There's Aliki looking pretty as usual. And her friend was really nice too, the girl with the green hair. I lent her my camera for a bit and she took good care of it. ^^

And here is the reception area of the hotel. You can see the two reception clerks, the one on the right near the shiny elevator door is the portuguese one. ^^ He was super nice!

 This girl looked like a lolita angel, so cute. I wish i was that age again so i could pull of that (and a bit shorter too hehe).

 Vania has so many colors on she matched everything, the walls, the floor, the paitings, everything hehe.

 The prince of princesses, he looked amazing, and guess what, its all Cherie Cherise! Now go order from them!

 And I wonder who this is... i look dead, super pale. I like that haha :P

When it was time to leave we just decided to take some shots at the entrance and then see what we'd do from then. Everyone was leaving or gathering there anyway. There was a really nice girl wearing my favorite Metamorphose Candy Star Rabbit in blue! I love that thing! 

 Vania was in love with this girl because she looked like a princess with all the tule. And a fierce one because she's basically got all her skirt on the floor with no reserves just to snap the perfect photo, my kind of lady.
A lot of people asked for our photos so we just posed for ages in front of the hotel.

One of my favorite shots of my outfit is this one. My idea was a macabre yet childlike doll. Did i manage that? I hope so. Anyway it was my first time wearing an A-line cut like this. 

So after this we paired up with my chilean friends because we were in the same hotel and decided to walk back there. The Buckingham palace was in the way and they had not been there yet so we figured it wouldn't hurt to take a tour around the place.

And here are a coupe of shots i took with people around the area. When they saw us lolitas we instantly became apparently more interesting to shoot than the palace itself. ha, how about that?

After that we continued our journey and saw some other pretty things in London. I fell in love with that city how people treated us there, i would have dealt with some really nasty stuff some other places but not there. I cannot wait to go back!

This statue scared me. I swear that street at 4am looked bright almost blood red and then it was deserted and suddently i see a white horse standing there... it looked like a real horse. I got a bit scared i must say haha. 

We then got to the hotel and decided to meet in some minutes just to have the chance to rest and for those who wanted to, to change clothes. Me and Vania didn't change much, i changed shoes and took off my bonnet and used the accessory i had worn on day one on my hair. Vania also only took out her hair accessory.

On our way i took a shot of this place, it was apparently the place where the last event had taken place, beautiful huh?

 We ended up reaching the bar which was near our hotel i suppose, called Adventure Bar.

The three of them sitting in our initial corner. When we got to the bar there were already some girls there but it was not full yet. So we sat and ordered cocktails.

One of the things i liked about the bar was the way they designed the menu. Yep I'm holding one! And yep it's Tom Cruise in Cocktail. :D

One of the things that helped the bar with its groove and atmosphere was the staff, the barmen were fun and the barmaid was a darling, we chatted a bit outside during her break and she was super. <3

Speaking of which me and vania met 3 people in front of the bar, two guys and a girl and they were a blast, we had so much fun with them for sooo long! We didn't even know the time was going so fast. I do not have photos with them but vania must. I wish i had these people's contacts (and the barmaid too).

As a plus one of our dearest friends and a fellow portuguese lolita came over to visit us. She's been living in the uk for a while now and we never see her anymore. She did not tell us she was coming so we were surprised to see her but very very happy!

After this we found out that bars close really early in London, wandered around town for a bit, helped a fellow Finnish lolita find her way back to her hotel, grabed some food at a 24h open convenience store, ate in the hotel room and slept.

It had been the longest most amazing and fun day!
