Macroquedada Lolita Galega - 2012

On the 15th of December 2012 the Galician lolita community put together a meetup to unite all the girls from the region. The organizers chose the city of Santiago de Compostela because it is located in the middle of the region.
Since Oporto is not that far away from Santiago (our capital city is farther away) I asked around and eventually we did manage to gather a tiny group to take part of it.

We met at 8am at Ana's place because she was the one taking the car and dressed partially for the meetup (there's something about being ridiculously sleepy and wearing makeup that will smudge easily that doesn't work for me) and when we got to Santiago we ended up getting ready in the car or in the parking lot which was fun, embarassing and very inconvenient haha.

We were a bit late but managed to still find everyone and the adventure started.
The first stop was a pretty garden with a gazebo where everyone took the time to present themselves and take some photos.

After that we all went to have lunch at a local chinese restaurant that had huge portions and very affordable prices. I asked for Sangria while everyone (or most people) had juice or water. It was delicious.

Walking around Santiago

After that it was finally time to head over to the main venue for the meeting, a stunning hotel right next to the famous Santiago de Compostela cathedral. It's such a magic place, if you have the change you should visit!

We finally got in and they had an entire room reserved for us with round tables with snacks and tea. There was also a piano and a couple of lovely details. It was the perfect place to hang out and chat.
The organizer, Sara then told us it was time to play bingo. I didn't win as usual but i had fun.
We also had to write the valentines messages. I didn't know the person i had to write about which was odd but i hope she still liked the message (not that she'll know it was me... it was anonymous). I got a very nice card with a super friendly message and compliments, i loved it. I think its a fantastic idea for a meetup.

The hotel was big and we could walk around all the lounge areas so we took some photos in different spots, not a lot, just enough to have a couple outfit shots.
They also had the most amazing xmas tree in the lobby but i pretty much dislike the photos i took in front of it.

After that it was time to go home as we still had to drive back.
I think all three of us had fun and will want to go again next year if they repeat the event. It's always amazing to be able to meet new people and hang out with different communities.

I wish i had a bit more variety and color... and a lot more florals too, I love florals! But i love my dresses. I know i have too many all black ones but it pains me to sell things as you know.
