Meeting friends in lolita

Hello again,

I was going to post these one by one but decided against it. Why take longer when you can get it over with in one go, right?

I have not been wearing lolita very often lately I'm afraid, just haven't had the oportunity but that's going to change soon as there's a lot of activities coming up soon.

Right after I came back from Japan the girls scheduled a meetup. I was feeling very sick that day and had actually told one of them i wouldn't attend in lolita because of that. The theme was black x white. As I was getting dressed and put on the first layer (a white x black polka dotted high neck shirt) I decided to just add a dress and a hat and get warm and still attend in a very casual lolita attire.
The photos I got from the girls even show off more clearly how sick I was but I have some photos of my hairdo up close and with my coat on at home so maybe I'll add those later to this post.
We didn't do anything special, just had tea, ate and did catch up.

I was clearly paying attention to someone.

I wore a Uniqlo turtleneck, Meta jsk, IW socks and hat, MmM brooch, Zara boots and a BPN cardigan

The next thing  I did while in lolita was attend a conference at the local university.
An embassy representative was coming over to talk about Japanese modern society and the some elements of it such as cosplay, kawaii, etc etc... Since it was the first time anyone ever separated both we felt that we had to attend and represent the community. Some people cosplayed as well but we went full in lolita and ended up being asked to take photos with him in the end. They were very surprised which actually made no sense to me considering all the work i've been done all these years in the community and all the times the girls actually went on tv and appeared on newspapers and magazines. I guess we still need more exposure to be recognized?
Anyway 3 of us went but only me and Bunny could wear lolita because lucy went straight after work.
I didn't learn anything but it was fun. After the event we actually dined out: me, my husband, lucy, bunny and her boyfriend and even our friend Ren.

I wore offbrand hair accessories, meta jsk, iw cardigan and socks, btssb coat, queen bee shoes and offbrand bag.


After this we had a meeting scheduled for Lisbon (the capital city) and because my husband and Ren had to attend some event we decided to tag along and participate in the meetup while they did their thing.
This was on the 28th of February and we stayed in the downtown area. Me, lucythewhite and kirarah all went. I decided to wear something casual-ish with my new Moon night theater from AP. I adore the print and details but am still unsure if it suits me since i'm so tall (170cm).

Finally, on the 21st of February we had a "Carnaval" meeting. Some people do not like wearing Lolita on that occasion because its when regular folk wear costumes BUT I find that it is the best date for new girls to come and get to know the fashion for various reasons... they don't get so much negative attention and also there's no pressure when it comes to what one ois wearing. Unfortunately even though it was scheduled for a day when everyone is free, not a single new member came and it was disappointing. Sometimes I really do feel like lolita will not develop here like it has in other european countries...
Anyway it was fun and i had a good time. I also felt pretty because it was the second time since i came back from Japan that I wore something that I can say "it's me".

And basically this is all. I still have one or two more outfits but not from meetups. I hope you enjoyed looking at these. I never post on Daily lolita anymore so to some of you its the only way you'll see my last outfits, right?
