Japan trip - Day 19 & Day 20 (bye bye Japan)

DAY 19

This was our last day in Japan, we were somewhat broke and wanting to spend time with the familly.
We stayed indoors a lot and only made a trip outside because we had to.
I had gotten this at the convenience store the day before and it came in handy because we skipped breakfast.

A girl in the Portuguese doll community asked to buy her a couple of magazines which i did. I couldn't carry them in my luggage due to space and weight though so i had to send them by post.
Oji central post office ahead.
We left and had another errand, we had to buy some things for my mother in law, groceries mostly.
Gorgeous sakura detail on a fence
We started getting hungry and my husband wanted to eat "real ramen" for the last time so we went to a ramen restaurant nearby. I didn't feel like eating ramen that day.
Oji station shopping mall entrance

This is what i ate. Rice bowl with some beef and vegetables on top.
After that it was time to head back home as it was almost dinner time. So we waited for the bus to come and there we went.
My lovely hollywood dressed in a very odd but cute manner.
When we got home mom was very excited, apparently she was fixing something yummy for dinner: crabs legs.
Carpis drink, one of my favorite drinks in Japan.

Crab's legs. They look really odd don't they?
This is how they look when fried. A lot more edible for most of you I suppose.

I got my girls 4 chairs for their future living room. Aren't they adorable?

Majolica glass drop gel coat for nails.

Bottom eye lashes.

These are actually hand warmer bags (sorry but i don't really know what the actual name should be in english) but i got them to make caps for my girls.

A white bear and a pink bunny for the girls. These are sold for decoden purposes but they are just the right size for them.

Mini hairclips for the girls. Aren't they cute?

As we chatted and watched tv... during the news we saw this story. Apparently the man who got the first big tuna of the year (which is a big honour in Japan) was finally a japanese - lately the chinese have been getting them since they are ridiculously expensive.
Me and my husband then suddently realised that he was the owner of the restaurant we had eaten sushi at in Asakusa!

Japan's famous fish market.

DAY 20

We woke up feeling incredibly sad... our hearts were definitely heavier as we didn't want to leave. But at the same time we started missing our pets and our home so...
Anyway Mom got us a fantastic breakfast as usual so we ate together before leaving.
We also said goodbye to Mii-chan. He's the most relaxed cat I've ever met.

Then we headed over to our room to get our bags ready and we said our goodbyes and left. Always so sad to leave, me and mom always end up crying...
My luggage, all red.
Dad took us to the airport by car since this time we got Osaka tickets instead of the usual tokyo ones.
We were supposed to arrive at vigo and my mother would pick us up but the company cancelled the flight so we took one to Lisbon instead. Kinda sucked.

Pet Hotel in the airport parking lot. Fantastic.

These huge floral arrangements were greating everyone at the airport. Pretty.

Final visit to the fantastic japanese toilets XD

We then said goodbye to my father in law and off we went.

We traveled via air france and that's our plane.

It was time to go... very long flight, a 4 hour bus ride from Lisbon to Porto... it was terrible as usual but we manage. haha
That is it, the final post about my trip to Japan. I hope you enjoyed and survived this far.

Love,
Jo

  3. So much envy about your long trip :) I have read it all through, but I´m usually too lazy to leave comments (my fault, sorry ^^U)

I´m really curious about the bottom lashes, have you ever tried them on? I find the usual ones a bit uncomfortable so maybe the bottom lashes are too much for me.
    Kisses!

    1. I have not tried them on yet i'm afraid, i very rarely wear lolita and when i do i get very lazy because putting on lashes is a real big bother for me. But i'll post about it once i do :P
Thank you for reading and commenting though, it does make me feel like less of an idiot for all the trouble of posting these. <3

  4. Yay you're done! You'll be very happy about it when you can enjoy reading it years from now.

Fried crab legs?! Wow that sounds tasty :D I love crab but I don't think I've ever tried that.

I really liked reading all your posts! I can't wait until you're back in Japan again <3

    1. Finally huh? Yes that's the main reason why i stuck with this, i really want to remember everything in detail and these posts will help.
We also had them boiled in water with the vegetables but i didn't take a shot of that. The fried ones are much more oriented to the general public's taste though.
I can't wait too but i'm pretty sure this year we won't be going. I hope you can stay there for longer than that. I adore your company. <3

  5. Your Japan travel posts are a really interesting read. Thanks for sharing it with us! My Japan honeymoon just ended yesterday although we only stuck to Tokyo and Kyoto. I really want to get one of those Japanese toilets for our apartment xD By the way if you were still interested in those boots, the price is 10,354JPY (1/2 retail) :)

    1. Thank you, i'm really glad you think so.I decided to chill out this year and did zero lolita days this time as last time I wore it a lot. It was actually a lot less stressful.
I didn't go to Kyoto this time, we wanted to but ended up being unable to. Next time we will visit Kyoto again i'm sure, its very close to Nara so we should at least.
      I also would love to get a toilet like that for my place, that way we could get rid of the bidet. They take a lot of space and our 3 toilets are all tiny, service toilet size. ;_;
Are you in the usa or uk? I never know, i'm so sorry. If you're in the uk i'm considering it, the usa would be a problem because of customs though.

Thank you so much for the comment and its nice to see you back to blogging.

    2. Hehe I'm actually in Australia where we rarely get hit by customs! I think there is a company up north that imports them actually - I might check it out :D

You're right - wearing lolita on holiday is very tricky! Especially in rainy weather.

Nara looked really awesome. I didn't realise it was close to Kyoto! Oh well - next time!

Feels good to be blogging again :) I missed catching up on everyone else's adventures too.

    3. Damn you are so lucky! The main reason why i cannot help out brands and be a loyal customer via buying directly from them is customs. One of my friends got a 150 package and it got hit by customs and she paid 80 euros! I mean how ridiculous its more than half!

I am really glad you are back, maybe we can get to know each other better. Hey at least now i know you are from Australia, its a start. ;p

    4. That sucks :( 80 euros is a HUGE amount. Especially compared to our little Aussie dollars >< Whenever I see something priced in Euros I shuffle along quietly xD

You're so sweet! I'd love to get to know you better :D I tend to be more open on facebook which is more locked down! (despite the fact that I actually dislike facebook in general xD) So if you do add online friends let me know and I'll pm you my url :) Otherwise I'll see you around here!

Btw how did you get this "reply" function in your comments? It's very handy!

    5. Oh I'd love to add you, that'd be super.
I have no idea, i thought everyone had the reply function. I just came here one day and it had changed. It's REALLY handy!

  6. Those crablegs look..interesting :p But they look more eatable when fried. How did it taste like? Was it good?

    1. They are fantastic. The fried ones are probably everyone's favorite because they taste more like western cuisine but the boiled ones mantain the crab taste better and so they taste more natural. I assume my japanese familly prefers those for that reason.
They also dip the fried ones in mayonaise if you want so its like having fast food but with better ingredients. :P

Thanks for stopping by Ni <3

  8. It's always nice to read about your trip to Japan - plus I love the photos of everything :D
On this post, those fishes on the floor of the market are huge :o they are kinda scary to walk by, ahah, and the crablegs look weird, I never thought they would look like that. o_o
But I could imagine the modern toilets xD That one even seems simpler than I had imagined in my techie head :D I would spend more time trying out all the buttons than doing anything else :x

    Have a nice day! :D

    1. I'm glad it paid off to write those. I was just so bored at the end. XD
Well if you look at the pictures you'll pretty much guess what every button is for... a picture of beams (spray) rising close to an ass figure kinda spoils the whole surprise factor now doesn't it? haha
I hope you have a nice day too. <3
