Small trip to Galicia

Hello everyone,

This summer we could only take a small two day trip so we chose to do it by car and to a nearby place. We chose to visit Monção which is near the Portuguese border, Vigo, Santiago and Coruna.

MONÇÃO

Brejoeira Palace 

I have been wanting to visit Brejoeira Palace for a bit now. I won't say i was impressed with the inside but I was impressed with the outside. The inside was interesting because the previous owners had connections with asia regian trade and so some pieces are from China which is connected with my study area and so it is something that i fancy. I was disappointed to hear that we cannot take photos of the inside though hence these all being from the outfside. Visiting the Palace costs 5 euros so its pretty affordable.

My outfit for the trip day, i tried to chose an outfit that was confortable and would match the location ok. I really love this dress. <3

VIGO

We scheduled an hotel for two nights. I could have picked something elegant looking but went for modern instead. I loved the hotel, the staff was incredible and it was in the center of the town which is helpful. We took strolls around town the first day, ate some local delicacies and spent time together.

A great place to eat some sea food. My husband loves sea food so there was quite a bit of it this time.

Gallician octopus

The best Risotto I have ever had in my life. I still have fantasies over this one. Gosh... I love food and i guess you can tell.

 So the next day we took another walk and then had a Siesta, spanish style. :D We ended up being a bit late but we had a meetup that day so we eventually got out of the hotel and met with some of the Galicia lolitas!
We had a cup of tea and then headed over to the modern art museum where they had this really fun exhibit. I don't know the concept but I had a lot of fun. Basically it was a whole floor with very big rooms all completely filled with blue balloons you could throw, kick, punch and run in between of. We had a blast!

 I wore the same outfit as before because that's all the lolita stuff i had with me in this trip.

 In the end of the meetup we went to this ice cream parlor and the girls asked for this yoghurt cone so we tried it out too. It tasted... different, it was interesting. I think i like the ice cream better though.

 We went out at night to grab something for dinner and went with the typical ham and cheese (tapas) and a glass of cold beer. I am a huge fan of beer in case you didn't know. Always loved beer, I know its not very lolita-like but whatever. Lolita doesn't completely define me, its just a part of my life. That's what I look like when I want to blend in btw.

SANTIAGO

The next day we checked out of the hotel and went on a small road trip. Our first stop was Santiago de Compostela.I'll leave you guys with some photos:

LA CORUNA

Our last stop was La coruna. It's a very big and lively place and I wish we could have stayed there one night. There was so much to see and so little time! I loved it there.

We went to the city center, the wine streets to grab some munchies... the military museum, some really nice tourist spots and one of the most famous ones, the Hercules tower. It was really gorgeous. I had a very good time in this trip. I miss Galicia already!
