Recent meetups

I have been attending some meetups but not posting the photos/reviews. My friend Ana always has really long posts on everything we attend so check her posts if interested.

The 1st I remember vaguely was on the 6th of March. It was a gothic/classic themed thing and I had a great time. We usually just meet, chat and then everyone goes their separate ways but this time we went out for dinner. I never plan outfits ahead of time so I was actually glad that Ana asked me to wear divine cross. I am so lazy... but I never did mind it until my friends started pointing out how "weird" I am. Am I, weird?

After this one Ana apparently had to get her way and scheduled an OTT themed meetup. I was a bit confused at first thinking.... what the heck will I wear to something like that but I think I did ok, considering. I rather like this outfit as well. People kept calling me Gaga. If you wear a white wig then you're Gaga, that's how most think nowadays. Not that I mind, i think Gaga is fierce. I met a couple of Ana's friends that day, they were really great to be around with and I had an amazing time that day as usual. We're all different but we're all very open-minded and honest which i guess is what brought us together in the first place.

The last one was on the 17th of April. We decided to go see some art shows at local Serralves Museum as well as have a small picnic outdoors. It was a bit different because we stayed a bit away from the town center where we usually meet and the people aren't the same. I think to some extent people are used to seeing us near what used to be Améthyste (or the only lolita store we ever had in our country which closed down yesterday, btw) and we never thought that was possible. Judging by the big amount of people asking to take pictures with or of us I would say that is the case. Anyway the theme this time was FLOWERS so I went with an easy choice and just picked a floral classic dress.

The last one was yesterday. Egl Portugal is a very big fan of the swedish lolita market events that take place for two consecutive years and with great turnout... so instead of whining on about how Portugal is too small and insignificant for an event like that we just went ahead with it and organized a smaller scale one ourselves. I was never one to cry in a corner and wonder "what if". I prefer to fail to just never try at all. It was all that, small, not enough visitors, some sales but mostly to friends and people I already knew but it was fun and I am already planning the next one in the capital city.

And that's it. Of course I have been wearing it outside of meetups but those i'll probably post over daily_lolita so I don't lose the habit of updating there as well. It's not really fair to be looking at other people's photos constantly and not post something from time to time. At least that's how i feel. I take something but I give something back. Balance. :)
