02.04.2011 strawberry

Hello,

Random stuff today.
I haven't been updating with my latest buys so I think i'll do that today. I have not been buying lolita lately, I'm only expecting a couple of things but not soon.
I do get some things here and there when i go out for strolls and whatnot.

I got new bed table lamps for my room. I had only one and it was old and was starting to have bad contact and annoying us plenty so once I saw these and fell in love (and after coming to the conclusion that they were on sale from 50 euros to 17 or something) I didn't think twice.
So finally we have a lamp on each side and they match the decor. A bit too girly and absolutely corny to the fullest but I was given freedom to decorate this room as I wish so... there it is.

I also got two scented candles: both strawberry. I haven't lit them yet but i love how they smell. Will have to stop getting candles though, no more room for them.

I also got this small pattern book/magazine from the sales communities. It is a 50 page mook dated 30.09.2006 with patterns and instructions to make accessories and decoration items such as: rectangular head dresses, round head dresses, bead crowns, bonnets, small cake shaped bags, hairties, stuffed animal bags, jewelry, neck ties, eye patches, etc. I'm not planning on sewing soon but i love collecting mooks and this was affordable so i thought it would be a good idea to get it. Now that i think about it its kind of a waste, some people could really put this info into good use. Not like I don't know how to make these already...

I also got this small stole. I thought it was bigger from the pictures but when it came i realised its just like a small colar. It's adorable though. Made of fake black fur with two strawberry appliques on each end with also some pearl beads. I got it thinking of only one dress and i think they look great together. If I ever sell it i'll have to add this accessory as they should never be apart.
It's from Swimmer. I got another stole from them when i was in Japan this winter and now I also have this one. I guess i'm developping quite the crush for their cute stuff (even if in theory that kind of stuff doesn't match me at all).

Swimmer colar paired with Ap's strawberry ribbon jsk

I also went on a trip to a shopping mall this week. I had a friend over and she asked if we could go shopping together. I love window shopping but I'm trying to save up and I wasn't planning on buying anything. But Claire's always has really nice things to wear with lolita and this small cute bracelet was there and I thought it would match both my only sweet jsks very well. She kinda pushed me to get it when i said I'd "better not spend" haha so I ended up bringing it home with me. So cute and so not me, right? I know, I know.

I also got this plastic black ribbon necklace. I always hate how long these are. It doesn't make sense to let them hit the middle section of you torso, they make a lot more sense if they sit on your colar bone/chest region in my opinion. So I'm going to alter it later so that the chain is a bit shorter. I am a big fan of this kind of plastic jewelry but I think I need to stop getting ribbon shaped stuff already I mean I already have 2 ribbon shaped black rings, a ribbon shaped plastic bracelet and now a necklace. It will match the above jsk well but then again I already did have a small metal strawberry pendant so I definitely did not need it. Why are we women like this? In this area I must admit I envy men, they are a lot more controled when it comes to shopping.

We also went to Primark which is the cheapest shopping mall sort of store we have around here. I have to admit I can't usually get clothes from there, they just feel like absolutely dreadful quality for me. Lolita might have ruined the bargain shopping aspect for me, I can't buy stuff which quality isn't at least acceptable. haha its making me a quality snob or something of that sort. Do you feel like that has happened to you as well? Anyway I only got acessories and random other things as usual. I got this bird shaped ring. I did own one just like it but because I use it pretty much every single day when I'm at work I decided it would be a good idea to get another one. They had so many left still and It made me wonder if I have such different taste from everyone else in my country. I mean I went nuts for this ring the first time I saw it and even though I can't say I am lacking in the accessory department I still wear this ring very frequently which confirms my love for it I suppose. Still, as I said, they had a ton left and for sale! For 0.50euro each not 3 as it was originally (which was already pretty darn cheap for this particular piece).

Now these shoes weren't a purchase.
Remember I told you a friend came over for a visit? Well last time she was here I let her wear a pair of white pumps with a bow (very etc-like) for the first time (I had not used them outside of my place because of the gigantic heel) and she kinda forgot them somewhere. So she decided to give me these as compensation. T-bar shoes are always lovely and the heel is low so I can use them comfortably.

That's basically it, no more shopping lately.
I hope you enjoyed this random superficious post with too much detail for just shopping related talk haha.
See you soon, J
