Lolita Day (winter 2010)

Hello again.

Today I'm writing about how my winter loliday went this year, what I did, who I met, what I wore, the works.
As you must know, this years's International Lolita Day was on the 4th of December.
What is a loliday, you ask?

"Loliday is an international, biannual event. It is supposed to take place the 1st Saturday of December, for ladies and gents to sport their warm Winter outfits, and also the 1st Saturday of June, for the Summer outfits."

I usually organize all these events but since I'm on a leave from all that right now It was someone else's job this time. They decided to go with the same Hotel we had a meetup at some other time and I applauded the idea because I think they received us in the most amazing and polite manner possible. Always a pleasure to visit that Hotal and its staff.
Anyway we didn't do much, we had tea, ate some miniature cakes and chatted a lot. There was also a xmas secret santa swap (which didn't go too well, a shame how some people do not respect others at all but still profit from participating in the wrong manner but that's a different topic), the typical photos, etc. Me and some girls were also pretty happy to discover that we were allowed to smoke at the bar and that the cocktails were pretty cheap considering the atmorphere and that the place was just that, an Hotel.

Most of the girls were really gorgeously dressed with some drool-worthy pieces that will never fit me haha which makes me super proud but also somewhat jealous obviously, but more importantly they were all amazingly accessible and friendly so it was a fantastic afternoon in general. I will only post a couple of shots because the text is more important in a blog I think.

Group shot with all of us at the hotel's bar sitting room.

What I am wearing? Pretty much all moitie except for a Juliette et Justine bolero you can't see (damn all black coordinates) and Alice and the Pirate shoes.

Anyway that was it, I hope you enjoyed reading about my day, hopefully you'll share (link?) something about your own in your comments. I'd appreciate that.

Much love as always,
Jo

  2. Hi Sara, thank you so much, I'm so glad you think so, it does really make me happy.
It was a nice group indeed, i invited the vigo community but i they never got back to me which was a shame. I would have loved to see like 30 lolis together or so.
    Love,
    Jo
