Classic lolita

So its not news to anyone that classic lolita is one of the two favorite styles in lolita and I'm planning on taking advantage of the current craze over classic to try and finally get stuff to go with my Victorian Maiden head accessories.

I finally sold my only burgundy dress, it was fun to wear since it looks like the child of a classic solid dress and a sweet lolita dress and turned out to be fun to play with.

So now I'm dreaming of, when I go to Japan, getting fabulous hats from Triple Fortune (which the ones who know me are aware its been one of my favorite hair accessory stores for ages!), finally! and then also some new accessories.

I'm into a small shop called Schwarz Schmetterling
right now. They have the sort of accessory i think give the right twist every classic outfit need to go from beautiful to just fabulous. They also have a dress I would be drooling over if I wasn't almost 90% sure that shirring is going to crush my ribs.
The shade of brown would match my ZARA boots perfectly and it would be a nice change as I have never owned a brown lolita dress before.
I love the 3/4 sleeves and the lace as well as the fabric's pattern. Very victorian looking and definitely a stunner.
I'm well aware that this is probably the sort of thing everyone who doesn't particularly like classic lolita would absolutely hate: 1.looks like a couch, 2. is brown, 3. looks like an old lady's dress.
I like it, a lot.

I've also pretty much been drooling over any sort of pretty bonnet from any brand. I love them more and more. I don't even almost have to fix my hair (which i suck at and hate haha).

The first one if from Triple Fortune. I adore that its so raw, like something you'd see from an epoque movie. It would go nicely with something I'm planning on getting soon but I won't ruin the surprise.
Sometimes the lace they use isn't the greatest but it still doesn't drive me to not want to get them, they are fabulous, the first to inspire the new era of classic bonnets in lolita. This is now the "in" thing to do and wear.
I already own two bonnets, one is (yes you guessed it) burgundy, velvet outside and satin off white on the inside. It's a rare piece from an extinct brand (Ange) which makes it even more special. [photo] and a black brocade huge bonnet me and my mom made as a prototype for future Améthyste boutique launches but I want them in all colors and from all brands. One can dream, right?

  1. I think classic is so you! I mean moitie is like you all over but classic is like as more grown-up redtonic with lots of class. I've always imagine you with classic Victorian look dresses and blouses and of course bonnets... which I think look AWESOME on you

  2. aww thank you chérie, ma chére!

    I think so too and it was in fact an ad from the classic brand Mary Magdalene that actually ended up making me want to really start wearing lolita more seriously. Unfortunately I soon found out that I wouldn't be able to fit into their stuff and went for other styles first.

    I guess you'll be happy to hear that I'm wanting to sell almost all my sweet lolita dresses in order to get classic lolita pieces. ^_^;

    Thank you for commenting too, its nice to get feedback from time to time (i wasn't aware people were actually following due to lack of comments). <3
