I'm glad some people (and wow surprise, they're all people I respect for a while now) share my opinion.
I really wish the online lolita sales community would boycott publicity posts for future replica launches and group orders.
Example:
Angelic Pretty "wonder cookie" print
Replica "wonder cookie" print
The only reason why I am not taking this very personally like all the Angelic Pretty fans should is because they are not making Moi-même-Moité print replicas. If they do that and it becomes "allowed" and they look as close to the original as these do... I don't know. The people who are ok with this say that this does not harm lolita fashion as a whole. Well I'm not sure I'd continue to order clothes from the stores if high quality replicas of what i work my ass off to buy were easilly available to everyone for a few $ or if suddently the dresses that i worked my ass off to buy (don't forget I'm Portuguese) were to suddently lose almost all of their current retail value because these replicas were being made.
I saw what it did to Fruits Parlor, it went from a highly valued print to one of the cheapest prints from Ap ever. I really do feel bad for those who reserved them so they wouldn't sell out or who worked to be able to afford them.
Anyway you get the point, lets see if this was just a another rant post or if things will change.

Eu concordo contingo completamente! Sinto-me tão mal por ter gasto tanto dinheiro nos poucos vestidos que tenho e olhar para pessoas que têm o triplo das peças e provavelmente gastaram o mesmo que eu gastei numa peça apenas. Faço tantos sacrificios para comprar lolita, é mesmo dificil aceitar isto! Eu apoio o boicote mas dúvido que haja muita gente que entre nisso, sinceramente :/ (desculpa ir em Portugues, o comment em inglês ficou todo mal escrito :p)
ResponderEliminarEu tb concordo, ainda por cima faço roupa, só posso estar do lado dos designers. Nós ganhamos pelo que criamos, não é justo alguém roubar o nosso trabalho que nos tomou tempo e esforço, e é com o resultado que sobrevivemos. já não basta sermos mal pagos.
ResponderEliminarAs réplicas normalmente ficam muito más, pois é um trabalho feito por ganância e não por amor. Os tecidos/materiais escolhidos são os mais baratos, os desenhos mal reproduzidos, as rendas em vez de algodão parecem lingerie, a costura sem acabamentos e mal feita, moldes idem... enfim, se fosse uma réplica igual igual, com materiais e confecção/estampagem com a mesma qualidade, o preço não seria tão baixo... E não esquecer a exploração de mão-de-obra barata que existe em confecções pirata.
