Doll addiction

Hello again,

I told you I wouldn't be able to follow dates and to prove that i'm going to post about something that took place today.

I woke up with a sore throat and an odd feeling in my ears so I'm assuming i have another throat infection. I was feeling really sad because this is my day off and i wanted to go to the gym again and now i don't even know when i'll be able to go again.

The bell rang and my husband went to the door. There was this huge package for me and a smaller one as well. I knew what it was since I didn't buy anything else so I was really excited.

But first I decided to open the smaller package since it was waiting to be open in the entrance since the day before. I knew who it was from and what it was. We had a small postcard trade event in the blythe community. There had to be some surprises too though so that is always a lot of fun.

Content: handmade postcard (they drew a lolita and everything, so considerate!)
Gothic and Lolita Psycho - movie (never saw it)
Short lace socks in my favorite color (how did they know?!)
Candy & chocolate
Ball Jointed Doll stickers

I love it, it was as if they knew everything about me (they must know a little by now). I really love the people who sent this to me so that made it extra special.

Their package was a bit outshined by the large one. I am 100% sure they'd understand why.
What a funny looking package... and its so long!

Peak's Woods? Did you buy some wood for a fireplace or something? That must be some fancy wood coming in that goodlooking package and all... XD

What is that?? A Dollfie? You got yourself a Dollfie? About time girl!

"Hello, I'm a Peak's Woods Goldie. I was made in Korea but adopted right here, in Portugal. I don't have a name yet."

"I think I'll like it here, seems like a pretty confortable place and there's no competition so I'm the only princess."
Actually, you do have a familly...
"What strange creatures are these? What large heads... humm Hello!?"

I thought it would be interesting to see the different sizes of the dolls I currently own (forgot to include the minis). The Bjd is 58cm tall, the Pullip is 30cm tall and the Blythe is 28cm tall.

This will her corner for now, until I get her a decent place to live that is. I hope she doesn't mind. .. in the meanwhile I'll think about names... it can't just be any name now can it?

Inside the smaller package there was an extra: my part of the Coolcat order, boots for my blythes/pullip. Got two pairs of the pink ones (they were on sale) and a pair of simple white and simple brown boots as well. I love the doll world, isn't this adorable? <3

And that's it for now. I finally got at least one of every doll I wanted to own. I know my bjd wasn't my model of choice but i can learn from her and see how i manage. I am in love with her though, she is absolutely stunning and she matches the style of clothes I like very well.

Do you like dolls? Do you own any? Would you like to own any?

Love,
Jo

Japan trip - Day 17

The next day we woke up and decided to go with my sister in law back to Osaka for one last time.
In order to do so we just got up and got on the bus to oji station.
Crossing the Oji station from one entrance(side) to the other.

The tracks.

This is the ticket machine. Why it is upside down? I have no idea. o.o
We got on the train and chatted the whole time, not very japanese appropriate since they hate noise on the train but we were going to part ways soon so we had to.
We said our goodbyes in the train and waited for her train to leave. We then switched lines and headed over
Bang! Bang! Bargain! poster.
We got out at Shinsaibashi and just walked around for a while. I didn't take a lot of photos because I was literally saying goodbye. I knew that would be my last time there so I just enjoyed myself.
I also visited some of my favorite stores and looked for some specific items.
Atelier Boz street manequin. I am pretty sure if this was plenty of other countries the clothes would be stained, ripped or get stolen. I admire this about Japan.
As it was lucky pack season I decided to take a look at Ap's stock and lps. I actually found that the sets were very fairly priced and was considering getting the black one. Unfortunately I am not very decided and was actually speaking with my husband in my broken Japanese and this girl there just rushed to the stand and grabbed the Lp I wanted. I searched and searched for the black one i had just seen and i couldn't find it. She looked very victorious and glad so I assumed she was the one who got it. Not that the store was that full anyway.
This girl got the LP I wanted, boo!
Around the same area there's a second hand lolita store. I had seen a set I loved there and i went back for it. After we left we saw this restaurant/café and i snapped a photo. The name is "banco" (aka bank or bench in Portuguese) so i kinda found it amusing. I like random things like that.
Banco @ Shinsaibashi
After this we went to my favorite store again, yes, Atelier Pierrot. I tried on a couple of dresses but they didn't really look nice on me, I have to admit that. I suppose i can only go for their fully shirred items. At least now i know, right?
The staff was amazing as usual and i felt forced to buy something. I will tell you what i got later.

After this we just went to IW. I was very tempted to get their lps too but their stuff is tiny for me. Their shirt L size is literally a joke. Since when is a smaller than 80cm waist plus sized? -_-;
I did hope their sales would be as good as the previous year so I went up to the main store. Unfortunately they had little to no tops my size on sale and the dresses were still a bit pricey for me so i didn't get anything. The store was crouded.
A lot of people checking out Innocent World's sales.
After that I also visited Btssb and I actually also contemplated the lps but i found the bag to be rather disappointing and that had been what i liked about the packs in the first place so I didn't get one. I loved the shoe sales but i had no more luggage space for shoes.
I fell in love with a red x black coat but felt that i didn't have enough in that color scheme to justify getting it and i got a shirt on sale. Still very expensive but i liked how different it was from my usual shirts.

After that it was time to hit Mandarake. I found some nice things there. I do regret not getting a blythe doll there, they are so much cheaper than getting them online. I didn't know a lot about them (still don't) so I had no idea. Now I know.
Mandarake Osaka, much better than the one in Tokyo (doll wise at least)

Lastly we visited another second hand store: Pure Sound. They sell everything from lolita, punk, goth, random weird stuff, cds, dolls, jewelry, merchandise... etc etc. I got a dress i never thought i'd end up owning. Like I said, the first and last buys are always a bit impulse driven. it's that feeling of "omg I'm here" and the "I can't buy anything else after this" as well.
Pure Sound staircase.
After this shopping and walking around was pretty much over. We had arranged to meet with one of my husband's biggest friends for dinner so we got in the subway again.
When we got to the arranged meeting place he was standing there. We said hello and i was introduced and he seemed really friendly. I always am releaved when people look friendly (you never know. XD)
As we left i found something my brother would probably enjoy seeing in Japan.

weee error!
I don't quite remember the name of this place, too much time has passed. I apologize but when i get home i'll ask my husband and he'll help me fill the gaps.
I really liked the area. It looked very developped and modern and there was still some work being done and things being built.
The area's newest shopping building.
We went by this very odd looking restaurant with baby figures all over and all the babies were wearing sun glasses. There was also a tv showing the oddest comercial featuring this "character". It was weird as heck.
Maybe he remembers the name of this place. I'll add some more info later.
This place looked interesting, the sort of thing i'd like if i could read japanese properly. A book café. I remember wanting to go in but didn't want to be rude and impose anything haha. I am really well behaved.
Movies, game and books café.
After a bit of walking we arrived at our destination. A local restaurante. You can see my husband's friend going in first and my husband following. I always stay behind to take a photo for you guys. <3
Local Okonomiyaki restaurant.
I let the gentleman pick what we were going to have of course but i still took a peak at the menu. I like japanese menus they always find a way to make everything look even tastier than it actually is (and things are pretty tasty here!).
You can look at what they had on the menu too, yay!
After some beer and a lovely meal we said our goodbyes at the local train stop and they parted ways. Until next year!

We then literally slept the whole way back, got to Oji, got into a taxi (it was very late) and headed back home.
Mom and dad were still awake and we had a cup of coffee together. I showed her what i will show you, my new doll items. :D It was a good day but i was tired.
Me & My Blythe book. Very interesting, there's photos of dolls with their owners.

My new cowboy boots from Azone. I love love love these!

I also found some old pullip items. Some boots...

Got this Azone shirt.

And this was what made me buy them, i love this shirt and i am really sad because I took it to a meetup i'll post about soon and i never found it again. I have asked the host but she didn't find it at her place. I really hope i just misplaced it. Its breaking my heart. <3

Another Azone top.
Pullip tenis shoes (haven't even tried these on yet)

Pullip hair accessory (have two of these)

This is an odd item - Apparently its a shinto used something. I don't know what it is for. My husband told me but i forgot.

And lastly Pullip apron. It doesn't fit Blythe dolls properly unfortunately.
My girl still didn't have hair at the time but i still thought she deserved some photos so hopefully you'll like them regardless. She is so pretty she looks nice in anything imo. <3

My un-named (at the time) Pullip Mir wearing her new clothes.

Outfit shot.

That is all, I hope you enjoyed reading.

Japan trip - Day 14

The next day we got out at Osaka Station. I remember clearly feeling a lot more at ease when i saw that we were at Osaka. Seriously its my favorite area in Japan so far and I already feel at home there.

It was freezing and we were dead tired. We also had no money and getting to an atm that works with a specific (not really foreign only) card is sometimes hard! So we went to the station office and bought cheap ass trips by card witch is something that would be very troublesome here in Portugal but the japanese employee didn't mind it at all!
As I waited i took shots of the company trains that was displayed on the walls.
Trains,

trains and

more trains.
It was so early in the morning that the station (that usually is completely full of people) was deserted.
inside the train station
After a trip of sleeping, listening to music and cold... we finally got home, Oji.

Shot of the station.
We wanted to go use the little girl's room so we went to the nearest convenience store. Very convenient indeed. In there i found another engrish gem.
No "smooking" people!!!
Also to prove that almost every single place has a washlet...
Ah much better! I algo got some green tea pocky. I love anything with green tea, can you tell?
So after that we just had to take the bus back home. There were a bunch of students waiting to take the same bus, that's how early it still was.
Very hard working students. You know by checking the uniform, each school has their own and that school has the reputation to be one of the toughest in the region. I feel for you guys!
Finally our return trip was over, we were home!
And my husband being a gentleman <3
When we got in we were enthusiastically greeted by mom as usual and we chatted a bit about how the trip went. She also likes to check what I buy so its always fun.
There was also a surprise waiting: my dolls had arrived!
oh which one might this be??

My Pullip, Mir (nude and with no wig, she looked odd)
It was time to eat something. Mom arranged for some amazing sashimi, we are so spoiled when we go there!
sashimi, white rice and tofu soup
But of course i also had my favorite!!!!
no, they aren't just sausages, you need to eat them before judging me like that!
There was another box and it had to be my blythes!
*drums!*

There they are! Blythe Hollywood (2001) and Blythe Fancy Pansy (2001), my first ever blythe dolls.
I fell in love with them and had to get them dressed asap. Left the pullip doll with no clothes on haha.
My girls wearing the dresses i got for them at Maruione. <3
After this i went to sleep, i needed to take a rest and i was supposed to go meet some of my husbands friends in the afternoon but i was so tired that i couldn't. My husband still went of course.
I did wake up eventually and felt sad that i was unnable to wake up to attend but what can one do, right?

Eventually he came back home and told me that his friend had taken his girlfriend and that she, knowing that i love cats, had gotten me a small gift. I felt really bad about not having went... :|

Even the envelope had kittens! what can this be?

Yay a ton of cat stickers! I loved it, i'm going to use them soon. <3
After this mom called us for dinner, we always ate as a familly and sometimes they'd surprise us with really expensive looking things such as...
Crab legs! and sashimi and fried pork with cabbage and a lot of other delicious things. <3
And because I really was spoiled....
Haagen Dazs! Not just any flavor...

Green tea, my favorite!

And that was it, the end of Day 14. Hope you have enjoyed yet another update. Still some to go.
Love,
Jo
